Call for Artists Sepetmber 2011

Wagner Farm Arboretum's art exhibit, "A Place to Grow" featured over two dozen works depicting artists' impression of the Arboretum at 197 Mountain Avenue in Warren, NJ. Adults and children submitted watercolor, oil, pastel, ceramic, photography and sketches of the Arboretum grounds, barns and silos. Works of art were on display to the public from September 16th through 18th, 2011.

The Wagner Farm Arboretum would like to thank all the artists who participated in the "Call for Artists" Art Show.

A special "Thank You" to Beth Murphy for organizing the Art Show and for hosting the Open House so we could enjoy the art work. Part of the proceeds from the sale of art were generously donated by the artists to Wagner Farm Arboretum to support the many educational programs.

Award winners are:

Best of Show - Adult: "Beautiful Tree" by Kristina Lloyd

Best of Show - Child: "A Farm in Time" by Brigid Meisenbacher, age 11

Outstanding Adult: "Wagner Farm at Sunrise" by Hank Stairs

Carol Livingston, an accomplished artist and award winning pastel and oil painter who is a member of Studio 7 in Bernardsville, determined the Best of Show winners.
