August 3 – Rutgers RWJ  (Medical Students)

The group spent the morning in the Giving Garden laying gravel on paths they prepared, harvested some peppers and tended some tomatoes. Thank you all!

July 11 – JP Morgan Chase Bank

JPMorgan Jul 11 2015 DSCF2261Frank, a long time Giving Garden volunteer, brought several of his co-workers and their family to the Arboretum on this beautiful day to help construct new raised beds, fill with topsoil and weed many beds and paths. We even harvested some snow peas and cucumbers. Thank you everyone!

June 26, 2015 – Chubb

 

Thank you to employees from Chubb for spending an afternoon at the Giving Garden.

The energetic crews built a raised bed to replace a worn out bed, cleared paths of weeds in the E section, and laid down weed barriers.

June 20, 2015 – Sigma Gamma Rho

Returning to Wagner Farm, the group volunteered in the Giving Garden, accomplishing many tasks with many hands even when it started to rain! They filled new raised beds with soil, planted seedlings and weeded. Thank you!

June 17, 2015 – ProQuest

Volunteers from ProQuest faced humidity and heat in the Giving Garden June 17 as they moved wheel barrows full of gravel and soil. Thank you everyone!

June 13, 2015 – Church of the Little Flower

The group of 8th graders planted seedlings they had started in school, helped plant additional veggies, weeded and had a smelly good time feeding the plants with organic fish emulsion.

June 13, 2015 – Citigroup

Citigroup celebrated their Global Community Day by volunteering in the Children’s Garden and Giving Garden on June 13. Several raised bed boxes were built, a lot of gravel was shoveled and laid in paths, mulch and manure were added to the flower beds, and many weeds got the boot.

Thank you L’Oreal for all of your help in the Giving Garden and the Children’s Garden today!

June 12, 2015 – Morgan Stanley

Thank you John, Linda & Eileen from Morgan Stanley for coming out to the WFA Children’s Garden yesterday and building beautiful borders for our garden beds!! I can’t tell you how much we appreciate all your help!!

June 6, 2015 – Whitestone Associates

The local engineering firm helped weed, prepare beds and planted veggies like zucchini and squash. They are new to volunteering in the Giving Garden, so please welcome Whitestone Associates!

A special shout out and thank you to “Back To Nature” of Basking Ridge for donating the flats of veggies planted that day by the volunteer group.

May 5, 2015 WFA Volunteers at Codington Farmstead

All produce raised by the Wagner Farm Arboretum volunteers will be donated to local area food banks.
