Community Garden

This unique experience provides area residents with the opportunity to grow their own organic vegetables, flowers and other plants in a leased plot protected by deer, groundhog and rabbit within a fenced area. "Organic methods are used in the project," said Keith Cooper, Berkeley Heights resident and past chairman of the Community Garden Committee. "Our goal was to have productive and attractive gardens," he said, "and this we did on protected sites in full sun." To volunteer or attend monthly meetings contact Jonathan Jeans. Click here for our Organic handout.

The garden, located at 197 Mountain Ave, Warren NJ, is open year round, dawn to dusk, and weather permitting. The Community Garden Committee coordinates and controls the leasing of these plots to the participants, and maintains operational control throughout the growing season annually.

Plots 10 X 20 feet are available for rent at $50, plus membership, for the season and may be used for seasonal and perennial plantings.

If you are interested in renting a garden plot, click to download the contract and registration form.
Please print and fill out both forms. Make copies of the completed forms for your records. Please send the forms along with your payments for the Plot fee and Membership (if not already paid). Please make out separate checks: one for $50 for the plot fee, and one for the Membership fee, both payable to "WFAF".
