This beloved community tradition will once again light up the night with a 0.25-mile walking path display of hand-carved, LED-lit pumpkins, transforming the Arboretum into a captivating walk-through Halloween experience.

• Dates: Fridays and Saturdays in October: 11 & 12, 18 & 19, and 25 & 26
• Time: General entry from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM (Gates close at 10 PM)

Eco Printing by Flower Pounding
This event is open to WFA Community Gardeners and WFA Senior Gardeners only.
WFA gardener Kathy Mayer will demonstrate eco printing by the use of flower pounding, using fresh flowers and leaves to create a piece of personal art. Bring a few flowers and leaves from your garden, give it a try and have some fun.

Community Gardener Orientation Meeting - For NEW Gardeners
This meeting is only for those who are members of the Wagner Farm Arboretum and are either new and/or inexperienced Community Gardeners.
The Community Garden will be holding a 2024 COMMUNITY GARDENER ORIENTATION MEETING for those who are new to the WFA Community Garden on Saturday April 13, 2024 at 1 pm. The location will be in the garden gazebo or in the greenhouse (if inclement weather). Bring a folding chair if you like.

LOCATION CHANGE - Community Gardener Orientation Meeting - For Returning Gardeners
This meeting is only for those who are members of the Wagner Farm Arboretum and are experienced Community Gardeners.
The Community Garden will be holding a 2024 COMMUNITY GARDENER ORIENTATION MEETING for returning gardeners on Sunday March 24, 2024. If the weather is wet, the meeting will be in the arboretum office. If the weather is sunny, the meeting will be held in the garden gazebo as originally planned.
Note that there will be a separate NEW GARDENER ORIENTATION MEETING on Saturday April 13, 2024.

WFA Canned food Drive
The Wagner Farm Arboretum’s Giving Garden will be holding a canned goods and non-perishable food drive beginning Wednesday January 8th. Items for families in need will be delivered to The Mission Baptist Church in Warren and the Bound Brook Presbyterian Church. Donations will be accepted in the office weekdays from 10 am until 2 pm; any donations outside those hours can be left in the donation bin that will be by the office door. Thank you.

2nd Annual WFA Thanksgiving Food Drive
The Wagner Farm Arboretum’s Giving Garden will be holding its 2nd annual Thanksgiving Food Donation Drive on Saturday 11/18, from 8 am until 12 noon outside the arboretum’s main office building. Items requested are frozen turkeys canned cranberry sauce, stuffing mix, canned vegetables, biscuit mixes, cake/cookie mixes, and any other non-perishable food item that would contribute to a family’s Thanksgiving dinner.
This year’s donations will go to a local Warren organization…the Mission Baptist Church.

Astronomy Program at WFA
This event has been rescheduled to Friday October 27th. Finally, it appears there will be warmer weather and expected clear skies for viewing.
Join us for WFA’s first Astronomy Program on Friday evening October 27, 2023 at 7 pm. Please arrive by 6:45 pm. Attendees are limited to 65 adults (children under 18 aren’t counted).
Bill Funcheon of The NJ Astronomical Association (NJAA) and several of his associates will discuss the night sky and events currently taking place. Participants will be able to view the sky via professional telescopes and interact with the astronomers after the program completes.

WFA Gardening Presentation
Phyllis Lindquist, the WFA Community Garden manager, will be presenting “How Is Your Garden Growing”, an interactive lecture/program that will cover all aspects of vegetable gardening. Come join her at the Warren Public Library and have your gardening questions answered!

2023 Community Garden Orientation - RESCHEDULED TO 3/26/23
The Garden Manager will hold the new gardener orientation meeting on Sunday 3/26/23 from 1 pm until 2 pm (approximately) in the WFA Community Garden.
This meeting is required for Community Gardeners and Senior Gardeners new to WFA in 2023, and is optional for legacy gardeners.

2023 Gardener Forms and Payment Due
All 2022 gardeners who are returning for the 2023 season should submit their completed forms and required payment to the office by 2/28/2023. Remember that a completed and signed 2023 Release and Waiver form must be submitted for any person who will be working in your garden.

BRITE NITES WILL BE A DRIVE-THRU FORMAT ON THURSDAY 10/27 AND REQUIRES TIMED-ENTRY TICKETS. BRITE NITES WILL BE A WALK-THRU FORMAT ON FRIDAY 10/28 & SATURDAY 10/29 AND WILL REQUIRE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS (NOT TIMED-ENTRY).

Drive-Thru Dates: Thursdays only - Oct 13, 20 & 27
Drive-Thru Timing: Timed entry tickets begin at 6:30 pm and are issued at 15 minute intervals until 9:00 pm. Event closes promptly at 10 pm.
Drive-Thru Tickets: Tickets are available beginning in mid-September on WFAFNJ.ORG. No discounts are available. Ticket price is dependent upon your vehicle and number of passengers:
$35 for passenger cars/SUVs with less than or equal to 7 attendees
50 for any type of small bus or large SUV/van with more than 7 attendees
WALK-THRU EVENT INFORMATION
Walk-Thru Dates: Fridays & Saturdays only - Oct 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 & 29.
Walk-Thru Timing: Tickets are for general entry and are NOT timed. Entry begins at 6:30 pm and last entry will be at 9:00 pm. Event closes promptly at 10 pm. Keep in mind that when people can choose their own time to arrive, certain periods will be more crowded than others.
Walk-Thru Tickets: Tickets are available beginning in mid-September on WFAFNJ.ORG. No discounts are available. Ticket prices remain at their 2019 level:
$15 for those 13 - 61
$10 for children 5 -12 and seniors 62+
Children under 5 are free
Parking is free.
Photo Op spots will be available for children and adults, so children attending the walk-thru are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes.
Hot chocolate, water and a limited selection of snack food will be available for purchase. No food trucks will be on site.
RAIN DATE INFORMATION
“Rained out” means the event was canceled by WFA because heavy rain or other adverse weather conditions made the electrical connections and the path dangerous and/or impassable for both volunteers and attendees.
Drive-Thru Rain Dates:
If the event is rained out on 10/13, you may attend on remaining drive-thru dates of 10/20 or 10/27.
If the event is rained out on 10/20, you may attend on remaining drive-thru date of 10/27.
If the event is rained out on 10/27. a TBD rain date will be added (unknown at this time).
Walk-Thru Rain Dates:
Sundays are reserved as walk-thru rain dates, but they might not always be needed.
If the event is rained out on 10/14 or 10/15, you may attend on a rain date of Sunday 10/16, or any other remaining walk-thru date.
If the event is rained out on 10/21 or 10/22, you may attend on a rain date of 10/23 or any other remaining walk-thru date.
If the event is rained out on 10/28 or 10/29, a TBD rain date will be added (unknown at this time).
WEATHER INFORMATION
This is a weather dependent event. In the event of showers or light rain, the event is expected to go ahead but will be dependent on the condition of the paths and fields. Heavier rain or winds may force cancellation.. In the event of extreme weather or cancellation for other reasons, a message will be posted on the WFA website by 3:15 pm on the day of the event. Your tickets for that night can be used for any otherr remaining evening following the guidelines in the RAIN DATE INFORMATION section, but NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. If you cannot attend on a designated rain date, please email administrator@wfafnj.org and ask for a tax-deductible donation letter.
REFUND AND EXCHANGE POLICY
NO REFUNDS will be given as this is a fundraising event for a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Options for unused tickets include: (1) An unused drive-thru ticket can be used on any remaining drive-thru event date, and an unused walk-thru ticket can be used on any remaining walk-thru event date or (2) The unused ticket can be used on any rain date, as long as the format of the rain date (drive-thru or walk-thru) matches the type of ticket you hold or (3) An unused ticket can be considered a tax-deductible donation for the value printed on the ticket.
Tickets are transferable to another person for the date and session time (if applicable) printed on the ticket. Requests for ticket corrections must be made prior to your ticketed event via email to administrator@wfafnj.org or call 908-350-7383.

Walk-Thru Dates: Fridays & Saturdays only - Oct 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 & 29.
Walk-Thru Timing: Tickets are for general entry and are NOT timed. Entry begins at 6:30 pm and last entry will be at 9:00 pm. Event closes promptly at 10 pm. Keep in mind that when people can choose their own time to arrive, certain periods will be more crowded than others.

RAIN DATE INFORMATION
“Rained out” means the event was canceled by WFA because heavy rain or other adverse weather conditions made the electrical connections and the path dangerous and/or impassable for both volunteers and attendees.
Drive-Thru Rain Dates:
If the event is rained out on 10/13, you may attend on remaining drive-thru dates of 10/20 or 10/27.
If the event is rained out on 10/20, you may attend on remaining drive-thru date of 10/27.
If the event is rained out on 10/27, a TBD rain date will be added (unknown at this time).
Walk-Thru Rain Dates:
Sundays are reserved as walk-thru rain dates, but they might not always be needed.
If the event is rained out on 10/14 or 10/15, you may attend on a rain date of Sunday 10/16, or any other remaining walk-thru date.
If the event is rained out on 10/21 or 10/22, you may attend on a rain date of 10/23 or any other remaining walk-thru date.
If the event is rained out on 10/28 or 10/29, a TBD rain date will be added (unknown at this time).
WEATHER INFORMATION
This is a weather dependent event. In the event of showers or light rain, the event is expected to go ahead but will be dependent on the condition of the paths and fields. Heavier rain or winds may force cancellation.. In the event of extreme weather or cancellation for other reasons, a message will be posted on the WFA website by 3:15 pm on the day of the event. Your tickets for that night can be used for any otherr remaining evening following the guidelines in the RAIN DATE INFORMATION section, but NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED. If you cannot attend on a designated rain date, please email administrator@wfafnj.org and ask for a tax-deductible donation letter.
REFUND AND EXCHANGE POLICY
NO REFUNDS will be given as this is a fundraising event for a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Options for unused tickets include: (1) An unused drive-thru ticket can be used on any remaining drive-thru event date, and an unused walk-thru ticket can be used on any remaining walk-thru event date or (2) The unused ticket can be used on any rain date, as long as the format of the rain date (drive-thru or walk-thru) matches the type of ticket you hold or (3) An unused ticket can be considered a tax-deductible donation for the value printed on the ticket.
Tickets are transferable to another person for the date and session time (if applicable) printed on the ticket. Requests for ticket corrections must be made prior to your ticketed event via email to administrator@wfafnj.org or call 908-350-7383.

BRITE NITES - Week 1
ANY BRITE NITES EVENT CANCELLATION DURING THIS FIRST WEEK WILL BE POSTED HERE BY 3 PM ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT.
It’s baaaack… Returning for the 11th time is Wagner Farm Arboretum’s spectacular Halloween-themed “Brite Nites” evening event, showcasing an elaborate display of intricately & creatively hand-carved and LED lighted pumpkins. Updated displays and new installations will be added in 2022.
NOTE THIS CHANGE IN EVENT FORMAT::
BRITE NITES WILL BE A DRIVE-THRU FORMAT ON THURSDAY 10/13 AND REQUIRES TIMED-ENTRY TICKETS. BRITE NITES WILL BE A WALK-THRU FORMAT ON FRIDAY 10/14 & SATURDAY 10/15 AND WILL REQUIRE GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS (NOT TIMED-ENTRY).

Community Garden Pot Luck Picnic
The Community Gardeners pot luck picnic will be from 4 pm to 6 pm. Details will be announced as we get closer to the date. If you believe you have missed the notifications, please contact the Garden Managers. RAIN DATE WILL BE SUNDAY 9/18.

World Honey Bee Day Event
Join us in the WFA Children’s Garden for a celebration of World Honey Bee Day on Saturday August 20, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Events for children include stories about bees, honey, Winnie the Pooh, a story walk, arts & crafts and coloring activities. BEE THERE!

Children's Event Saturday 6/25/2022
Who doesn't love The Very Hungry Caterpillar or The Very Busy Spider?
.Join us at Wagner Farm Arboretum from 10 am - 12 noon on 6/25/2022, the birthday of children's book author Eric Carle. We'll be celebrating Warren's newest Little Free Library installation outside our WFA office with a short dedication ceremony followed by things to do for the little ones in our beautiful Children's Garden. Activities include storytime, with the reading of 3 Eric Carle books, and art projects for the kids. Parents and their children can enjoy and explore the garden and see and play the outdoor musical instruments. Free to all.


Annual Spring Plant Sale - Week 2
Wagner Farm Arboretum’s annual Spring Plant Sale will be held at the arboretum in Warren on Friday May 6th and Saturday May 7th from 9 am - 5 pm. Available for purchase will be annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, vegetables and herbs. Click HERE to see our sale flyer.
Plenty of on-site parking is available and there will be experienced gardeners available to answer your gardening questions and to assist you if needed. We invite you to visit the new WFA greenhouse and the in-progress Senior Garden that will have raised beds for those with mobility issues.
The arboretum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all proceeds from the plant sale will benefit the arboretum’s programs. The arboretum accept cash, checks, credit cards, PayPal and Zelle as payment. See you there!
